2009 Miss Cherokee County Pageant is scheduled for Jan. 3, 2009 at Woodstock High School.

Step One: Make certain you are eligible

 The Miss Cherokee County Scholarship Pageant
is open to any woman who meets one or more of the following criteria:

 *has resided in Cherokee, Bartow, Pickens, Dawson, Forsyth, or Cobb County for six months or more
*is employed full-time by a Cherokee, Bartow, Pickens, Dawson, Forsyth, or Cobb County Business
*has completed one previous semester at a college or university within
the counties of Cherokee, Bartow, Pickens, Dawson, Forsyth, or Cobb
 
And meets all of the following criteria:
* is a high school graduate or graduating senior
* is between the ages of 17 and 24
 * is a citizen of the United States
 * meets character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization
* can meet the time commitments and job responsibilities of Miss Cherokee County 

Step Two: Pageant Registration

Email your completed Pageant Registration form to: contestantinfo@misscherokeecounty.org

This form can be found under the required paperwork tab above.

Step Three: Pageant Preparation

Required Paperwork - you must prepare your contestant contract, resume and platform essay which must be turned in before the pageant deadline of Dec. 21, 2008.  You may download examples and specific direction by clicking on the required paperwork button in the above tool bar. We will also need a copy of your birth certificate to validate your age and a copy of your driver's license or school transcript to validate your residency.  All the above items can be mailed to:

Program Book/Website Headshot - Please submit a jpeg photograph by email to use on our website and in our program book.

Children's Miracle Network Donation - each Miss contestant must raise $100 for the CMN Organization. This must be raised by pageant deadline of December 21, 2008. Follow the link above for more information.

Talent Preparation - Each Contestant will compete in the talent portion of the Miss Cherokee County Pageant.  This presentation can not exceed 2 minutes.  If you need to use a background accompliment CD you will need to provide two (2) copies of your CD with only your music on each CD.  This can be turned in during dress rehearsal. You will also be asked to email a talent introduction to us. 

Dress Rehearsal - We will be having a dress rehearsal the day of Miss Cherokee County (Jan. 3, 2009).  You must wear on stage every outfit you plan on competing in that evening during dress rehearsal.  Extact time of dress rehearsal will be provided to you later.
